RELATIONSHIPS are always going to be complex stuff.
One minute you’re loving life with your partner, the next you’re detesting them.
This is the basic premise behind Hannah Rodger’s play at the Pleasance Courtyard, which sees a young couple, Jen and Neil, move in together in order to spend every waking minute with each other.
Constructed around a number of vignettes, there are a lot of scenarios found in Rodger’s writing that will be relatable to any couple. But at a run-time of 60 minutes, it tries to cram in too many conventions, which results in a disjointed story.
Unfunny and predictable the piece builds to an ending which is simply an anti-climax.
