Have your say

GREAT news, Dylan Moran, one of the best stand ups in Britain and the writer of that brilliant series Black Books, is going to be one of our special guests at The Gilded Comedy Gala, at the Usher Hall, on 7 March.

A one-off variety show, the event celebrates 100 years of the Usher Hall and will be hosted by veteran comedian Arthur Smith.

Performers include Smack The Pony’s Doon MacKichan, Phill Jupitus from Never Mind The Buzzcocks, grumpy old man Barry Cryer and Ronnie Golden and in a rare appearance, Greg McHugh as Gary Tank Commander.

The Gala is part of the centenary concert series celebrations and I’d like to invite you to send in your memories of the Usher Hall over the years.

My memories are many and varied. I have seen many great acts. I have even performed there myself, as part of an end of year prize-giving concert while still at school. Some 40-odd years ago now.

What can you remember?
