IT’S December 1936, and Broadway star William Gillette, admired for his leading role as Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry.

When one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities turn dangerous. It’s up to Gillette, assuming the persona of his beloved Holmes to track down the killer.

This Festival, local amateur stalwarts The Makars return to their Murrayfield Parish Church Centre Fringe home with a hilarious tale of danger in The Game’s Afoot, Or Holmes For The Holidays, Ken Ludwig’s glittering whodunit set during the Christmas season.
