PENICUIK Town Hall is the only place for grapple fans to be on Thursday when the World Wide Wrestling League (W3L) rolls into town.
Ever popular with kids and families, the live American-style wrestling event brings some of the biggest names in wrestling from the UK and abroad to the ring.
On Thursday, popular former heavyweight champ Mike Musso lines up for a rematch with Timm Wylie, following their recent clash in Musselburgh’s Brunton Hall.
That saw Wylie picking up a tainted victory after Euan G Mackie - who has been at odds with Musso since the two appeared on the ITV show Judge Rinder - interfered in the fight.
To ensure a fair contest W3L management have banned Mackie from the Town Hall.
Also in action will be the former W3L Women’s Champion Sara and the new W3L Tag Team Champions Dave Jeremi and Penicuik’s own ‘Bad Boy,’ Liam Thomson.
All matches will be taped for the weekly show Wrestling Showdown that airs weekly online and can be watched at W3LNetwork.com
Based in Scotland, W3L have been promoting wrestling around the country for close to 15 years, featuring the very best international wrestlers.
They presented their first live wrestling match in September 2003 and have grown steadily ever since.
Specialising in family friendly wrestling W3L have brought their live shows to town galas, fairs, and fund raising events and are always on the look out for new talent, operating its own training school for professional wrestlers since 2005.
