SUSAN Boyle has announced her latest album will feature covers of classic tracks by John Lennon and Pink Floyd.
The West Lothian singer’s new album Hope will include a string of hits such as Lennon’s Imagine, Bridge over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel, and Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd.
Susan, who found fame after appearing on TV talent show Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, said: “I themed this album around inspiration and hope because those are two elements we all need in our life to drive us all forward and inspire us to go out and capture our dream – they worked for me.
“There are also iconic songs, which were a risk to take on but I hope I’ve done them in my own way.
“John Lennon’s Imagine was one of the hardest to record, not because of the music or the vocals but because I wanted to do his song justice.”
The 53-year-old added: “Of course the diehard Lennon fans will probably criticise but I hope that people like my personal take on the song.”
Hope will be released on November 24.
