EDINBURGH People’s Theatre return to the stage tomorrow in the World Premiere of JJ Mills’ Heading For A Wedding, at the Church Hill Theatre.

Based on a number of French playwright Moliere’s less well known shorter plays, each act chart the comic adventures of men chasing women - and vice versa.

Be they young lovers or the older male with a fancy for the younger woman, mistaken identity and talking at cross purposes guarantees the laughter.

The four pieces that make up the evening’s entertainment are Withering Sights, based on La Comtesse d’Escarbagnas; Men’s Insensibility, based on Le Cocu Imaginaire; The Mate’s Tricks, based on Le Médicin Volant; and Doctor Farrago, based on Le Mariage Forcé

Heading For A Wedding, Church Hill Theatre, Morningside Road, tomorrow to Friday, 7.30pm, Saturday, 2.30pm, £10, 0131-668 2019
