AT The Vault on Merchant Street you will find this very interesting and wise piece of new writing, exploring the divergence of attitudes towards religious and sexual customs, past and present.

Paradise in The Vault
Raised by students brought together during air raids in World War Two, their thinking is well ahead of their time.
Rachel Jarmy has succeeded in evoking, with skill, a period which will now not be familiar either to her or to her most of her cast. Although there were some truly dramatic and touching moments, the full effectiveness of the writing did not come through: a Royal Court or an RSC studio production would have revealed the full depth and power of the script, which, on the evidence of this production, could only be guessed at. The moments when Jarmy’s script was truly revealed gave a tantalising hit at what was not.
Definitely a production to see, and a writer to keep a close eye on.
