NOW in its seventh year, The Military Heroes Awards takes place at London’s National Maritime Museum and is attended by famous faces from the worlds of film, TV, sport and music, many of whom will be handing out trophies on the night.
The categories featured are Saving Lives, Brothers in Arms, The Firefight, Bomb Hunters, Hero Abroad, Home Front Hero, Support to the Armed Forces and Judges’ Special Recognition Award.
Those on the panel include Jeremy Clarkson, Andy McNab, Lorraine Kelly and Penny Lancaster, while Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden host the evening.
Look out for the heroes, of course. Their achievements far outshine any of the so-called stars in the audience.
They’re usually modest souls who would prefer to play down their achievements too - which simply makes them all the more deserving.
Schofield says, “It’s a night that I’m really proud to present because I’m unashamedly very proud of our armed services.
“Once a year I get the chance to stand amongst the most incredible of people.
“The stories I hear are truly inspiring, heroic and defy belief in the measures they will go to against the odds.”
