Your pick of this week’s TV.

IN tonight’s instalment, Gordon is on the trail of two child snatchers who seem to have been targeting the city’s homeless youths, one of whom appears to have information that could lead the cops to the Waynes’ killer.
The BBC Children In Need Sewing Bee (BBC Two, 8pm)
THE Great British Bake Off may be over but its bunting-strewn spirit lives on this week as its sister show.

Meanwhile, 26-year-old Jodi Bickley has been nominated by her mother Tina for writing letters of love and hope to millions of people across the world.
Also in the show, Holly surprises two carers who have fostered over 250 children between them, and a woman who sponsored a boy from Africa through his education meets him for the very first time in an emotional reunion.
Life Story (BBC One, 9pm)
THE irrepressible David Attenborough takes the reigns, while the series itself charts life in the animal kingdom through six crucial stages: first steps, growing up, finding a home, gaining power, winning a mate and succeeding as a parent.
Attenborough begins the story at the very start of life, revealing how young creatures often face massive challenges during their first days, including two-day-old barnacle geese which must deal with a 400ft drop to reach food before they can even fly. Lion cubs, humpback whales and meerkats also feature in this opening programme,
Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD (Channel 4, 8pm)
THE popular comic book adaptation returns for an eagerly awaited second series. The last run finished with a thoroughly explosive cliffhanger, and now Agent Phil Coulson needs to set about rebuilding SHIELD, nut his agents are now wanted fugitives.
Doctor Who: In The Forest Of The Night (BBC One, 8.20pm)
ONE morning, in every city and town in the world, the human race wakes up to face the most surprising invasion yet.
Everywhere, in every land, a forest has grown overnight and taken back the Earth.
It doesn’t take the Doctor long to discover that the final days of humanity have arrived...
Strictly Come Dancing: The Results (BBC One, 7,20pm)
AFTER Saturday night’s spectacular performances, it’s time for Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman to reveal the two couples with the lowest combined scores.
These couples will take to the ballroom floor to dance for survival. Which couple will the judges save, and who will leave the competition? The remaining eleven couples will go forward to next week’s show where they will face all manner of scary things (not just Craig Revel Horwood) in Strictly’s annual Halloween week.
