EWAN McGregor is set to reprise the role which made him a star after revealing he is “up for” making a sequel to Trainspotting.

Most of the cast and director Danny Boyle are committed to a movie version of Irvine Welsh’s follow-up novel, Porno.

McGregor has until now been cold on the idea of returning to the big screen as heroin addict Mark Renton.

But the 43-year-old actor said: “It looks like it might happen. The idea is that we shoot it in 2016, which would be 20 years after the original came out.

“And I’d be up for it. I wouldn’t have been ten years ago, but I am now.”
