YOUNG adults who are more extrovert lead happier lives than their more introverted peers, researchers have found.

The Edinburgh University experts worked with colleagues in Southampton and London to examine 4600 lives.

They studied the effects of extroversion at ages 16 and 26 years on life satisfaction and some of the same people in their 60s and found that personality dispositions by early adulthood had an enduring influence.
