A WOMAN’S attempt to mend a rocky relationship ended in a spectacular failure, a court has heard.

Rachel Uprichard was “forcibly removed” from her partner’s home after a drinking session.

Livingston Sheriff Court heard it would be to her “eternal regret” that she then decided to drive to a friend’s home nearby.

Uprichard, 42, was stopped by police for driving her Mini Cooper erratically in Broxburn, West Lothian, on November 24 last year.

She failed a breath test with a count of 56 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres – the limit is 35mg – and pleaded guilty to the charge.

Uprichard, who works for a retail company in Livingston and has since moved to Broomhouse, was fined £320 and banned from driving for a year.
