FIREFIGHTERS were called to a suspected chemical incident at St John’s Hospital in Livingston this morning.

They were called out shortly after 11am after reports of problems in the laundry room.

A spokesman for the fire service said that the alarm had been caused by hydrogen peroxide leaking from pipes in the laundry room.

He added that the leak had been contained and there was no further risk to the public.
