Emergency services have dealt with a chemical incident in Gorgie.
Crews were called to MacFarlane Smith in Wheatfield Road at around 4.20pm after two chemicals were mixed by mistake.
Roads were closed while the incident was investigated, however the chemicals were not found to be harmful and there were no injuries.
A police spokesman said: “Police attended at a business premises in Wheatfield Road where two chemicals were mixed and released a small amount of vapour.
“The vapour is not believed to be harmful and no one has suffered any injuries.”
The fire service said it sent its standard response to a chemical incident which saw crews from Sighthill, Crewe Toll, McDonald Road and Tollcross attend.
