A CAFE in Leith run by the Citadel Youth Centre has received more than £6000 from Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland and the Nancie Massey Trust.
As well as providing food and drinks, IG (Inter Generational) Café delivers a range of activities to help vulnerable or isolated youngsters and older people work together.
Manager of the Citadel Youth Centre, Willy Barr, said: “From cooking to curling, and crafts to table tennis, we have a great range of activities on offer to get people from different generations working and having fun together.
“Many of the older folk who come along to the group on Friday afternoons have health problems, or live on their own and can easily feel isolated. Some of the younger people have learning difficulties, or are being supported by social services.”
