THE driver of the runaway bin lorry which killed six people in the centre of Glasgow just before Christmas has left hospital, it emerged today.

The 57-year-old council employee, who has not been named, left Glasgow’s Western Infirmary on Monday after being treated for a fortnight.

It is not known whether he has been questioned by police.

Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board said two other people injured in the tragedy – a 14-year-old girl and a 64-year-old woman – were still in hospital.
