FANS backing a supporter-led bid to save Hearts have submitted proof of funding documents to the club’s administrators.
It is understood the Foundation of Hearts supporters group filed the documents this morning, ahead of a 5pm deadline set by administrators BDO.
It has also emerged that two other bidders – HMFC Limited and Five Stars Football Limited – did not provide proof of funding documents in time for the deadline.
However, legal teams representing the bidders indicated the paperwork was on its way.
BDO bosses will now work towards naming a preferred bidder after holding talks with the stricken Edinburgh side’s creditors in Lithuania.
Hearts fell into administration last month with debts of around £25 million.
