A LACK of volunteers could see the popular Seafield Gala Day being axed.
The event’s organisers have warned the yearly West Lothian festival will not happen this year unless fresh volunteers come forward to help.
No-one attended a recent annual general meeting.
The gala day was held in July last year, having been an annual fixture on Seafield’s calendar for two decades.
In the past, Seafield has been one of West Lothian’s most active villages, and the gala has featured a full programme – including an It’s a Knockout-style pram race.
Gala stalwart Cathy Mitchell said: “It would be such a shame if it didn’t go ahead.”
