HIBS’ oldest fan Sam Martinez was at Hampden to finally see his beloved team win.
And the 106-year-old told how the experience was the ”best day ever”.
The loyal centenarian watched from the south stand after being given a free ticket from Hibs bosses.
Mr Martinez, who has followed Hibs ever since he came to Scotland from his native Belize to aid the war effort, told the Daily Record after the game: “It was the best day ever.
“My highlight was actually the first goal. It was then I actually thought: ‘we can do this.
“When that final whistle blew, I was the happiest man in Hampden.”
