Staff at a firm of chartered accountants have raised more than £1500 to be split between three good causes.

Workers at the Capital office of Johnston Carmichael gave £230 to an Alzheimer’s charity, £100 to Pilrig Park School and more than £1200 to the Sick Kids Friends Foundation.

A number of activities were held over a year, including dress down days, Christmas carol concerts, raffles and cake sales in the office.

Andrew Shepherd, managing partner, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting our local community with these donations. Each organisation makes such positive impacts on the lives of the people they work with and we’re delighted that our efforts will assist the charities.”
