A MODEL of a white tiger carrying a well-heeled gentleman that was designed by Scots artist Jack Vettriano has sold for £60,000 at an auction last night.
In total, £400,000 was raised for the charity Elephant Family, the UK’s biggest funder for the endangered Asian elephant.
Around 130 figures were displayed across the city for a month, with some enduring scrapes with revellers along the way.
A spokesperson said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have raised so much money. This is the first time Jungle City has been outside of London and we have been delighted by the response we have received from the people of Edinburgh.”
