A SHAMED MP who was jailed during the expenses scandal has lost tens of thousands of pounds on the sale of his home.
Jim Devine’s property in Blackburn fetched just £120,000 – more than £40,000 less than he paid for it.
It was sold by trustees handling the debt-ridden former Livingston MP’s finances.
Devine was jailed for 16 months in 2011 after falsely claiming £8365 in parliamentary expenses.
And in April, he was ordered to pay his ex-office manager Marion Kinley £18,000 in damages for defamation.
