A SECOND jobs fair is set to take place to support workers from the Hall’s of Broxburn factory.
The announcement was made following a meeting of the Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE) team which was set up to support those affected by the closure of the West Lothian meat-processing plant, which is owned by Vion.
West Lothian Council is working in partnership with agencies including JobCentre Plus and Skills Development Scotland as part of the PACE team. Training courses are currently being developed for the workers.
The January jobs fair will take place on Saturday, January 12, between 10am and 4pm, at Strathbrock Community Centre, where employees can meet with a range of prospective new employers and receive support and advice.
