Johnston Press, the owners of the Evening News, has launched a new digital recruitment service aimed at helping employers find the perfect candidate in the engineering field.
TheEngineerList (www.theengineerlist.co.uk) is a spin-off from JP’s successful online recruitment tool TheSmartList which, for a fixed fee, allows companies to source jobseekers via a pre-screened shortlist of qualified candidates and means vacant roles can be filled quickly and effectively.
Employers submit details of their vacancy and TheEngineerList team prepares a recruitment brief against which candidates can be matched. Promising individuals are screened using a bespoke questionnaire and, once TheEngineerList is finalised, the employer can review the candidates and select the best for interview.
Joe Slavin, Johnston Press’ Managing Director (Recruitment), said: “This new service will utilise the strengths of Johnston Press’ established recruitment platforms to generate applications and CVs will be filtered by industry professionals to guarantee quality.
“Currently, businesses using traditional advertising methods often find that they receive very high volumes of applications that need to be sorted internally, whilst traditional recruitment consultancies can be costly. This offers a smart, cost-effective solution which we know guarantees results because of the great feedback we’ve had on TheSmartList.”
