There are celebratory cup pictures and there are extraordinary ones.

It has been an eventful August for Carloway Football Club who play their games on the west coast of Lewis.

Not only did the Hebridean side have an oil rig beach close to where they play but they also won the Eilean an Fhraoich Cup Final by defeating rivals Lochs by four goals to two at Leurbost.

A salvage team are currently working to remove the stricken Transocean Winner rig after it ran aground close to Dalmore beach last Monday as it was being towed from Norway to Malta and its towline snapped in heavy seas.
