A CITY MP will tomorrow launch a campaign to find at least 100 training opportunities or jobs in 100 days.
Edinburgh West Liberal Democrat Mike Crockart will be joined by business leaders from the constituency, as well as national firms with a presence in the Capital.
Training providers and representatives from Skills Development Scotland and the local Jobcentre will also be on hand.
Mr Crockart said his Get Edinburgh West Working campaign was challenging firms to support local people who are unemployed and provide training opportunities to get people back into work. He has contacted more than 1000 companies based in the west of the city ahead of tomorrow’s launch event at Murrayfield.
“The response has been excellent. Businesses large and small will be attending from local sole traders up to global multinationals and there are many more who are interested in finding out more,” he said.
