A 22-year-old has died suddenly in Edinburgh after being found seriously injured at his home.

Police confirmed Jordan Lane, a former Gracemount High School pupil, was found at his home in Howdenhall Drive, Liberton, at 4.50pm yesterday.

A police spokesman said the young businessman was taken to the Royal Infirmary where he was pronounced dead but that there were “no suspicious circumstances” and a report would be given to the Procurator Fiscal.

Mr Lane ran his own tiling and bathroom installation business in the Capital with dozens of friends taking to his facebook page to pay tribute to him.

His girlfriend, Rebecca Dalton, posted a picture of the pair on his facebook page and wrote: “I would do anything for my beautiful boyfriend to come back to me, your my best friend. I love u with all my heart. I’m heartbroken Jordan Lane.”

Another friend, Dominc Eardley, said: “Heartbreaking news, my old friend. Was an absolute pleasure to have known such a genuine, friendly person. Thoughts are with your family. RIP Jordan x.”
