Police have arrested and charged a man with fire raising after two separate incidents at major retailers in Straiton.

Customers had to be evacuated from the Ikea store at Straiton on Sunday after reports of a fire in the storage depot of the building.

Today Police Scotland said a man had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident, and had also been charged with fire raising in relation to an earlier blaze at the Straiton Sainsbury’s.

The man will also face charges for theft and a breach of bail offence, police said.
