A WORKMAN has been taken to hospital after falling from a high platform onto scaffolding.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Dudley Gardens in Trinity at around 9am today.
Fire crews used a hydraulic platform to bring the man to safety from the second floor level scaffolding.
He was then passed to ambulance staff and taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
It is understood the man, who is aged in his 50s, had a hip replacement operation a few weeks ago.
