COUNCILLORS have given the go-ahead to three marches in different areas of the Capital.

Members of the licensing committee agreed to approve a march by the Apprentice Boys of Derry on May 26 between Distillery Lane and Wheatfield Road.

Councillors also gave the nod to the James Connolly Parade on June 9 and a march by the John Knox District Loyal Orange Lodge (Number Five) on June 30.

Far-right group the Scottish Defence League has accused the council of discrimation after it banned them from marching in the city.
