A DRIVER had to be cut free from his car after an accident in East Lothian yesterday.
The 72-year-old had been travelling along Haddington Road, in Musselburgh, when his vehicle collided with another car at about 12.50pm.
Fire crews attended the incident and cut the man free within several minutes of arriving at the scene.
He was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with a suspected broken sternum. The woman in the other vehicle was not injured.
