A SECOND man has appeared in court charged with trying to murder two brothers.
Derek Brown, 29, from East Calder, West Lothian, appeared on petition at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday. He was charged with two counts of attempted murder, one of carrying a knife in public and one of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody pending further inquiries.
Brown was detained following an incident in which two siblings were allegedly stabbed outside a social club for homing pigeon owners in East Calder last Monday.
Stuart McMillan, 20, from the same village appeared on similar charges last Wednesday.
He made no plea and was released on bail.
