A MAN who took part in a deadly drinking game by downing a large alcoholic drink then jumping into a freezing Dunbar harbour has been branded a “lunatic”.

The man was challenged by a pal to take part in the Nek Nomination craze that is sweeping the nation by being filmed drinking the alcohol in one go, before going for a swim in the local harbour.

The man, named locally as Sean Bisset, then visited a local restaurant in Dunbar where he bragged about his feat by showing staff and customers the video he had taken.

But the manager of the Umberto Restaurant was so disgusted she posted a warning message on her Facebook page cautioning others of the dangers of taking part in the craze.

The manager posted: “He could have died”.
