BUDGET airline Ryanair has launched its new Edinburgh winter 2016 schedule with more flights across Europe.

Six new winter services will be introduced to Bologna, Bordeax, Bratislava, Gran Canaria, Palma and Poznan.

The services will cater for 2.5 million customers and support 1,900 jobs, the airline said.

Ryanair’s Edinburgh Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs said: “We are pleased to launch our Edinburgh winter 2016 schedule, which includes six new winter services and more flights on six other routes, as we grow our Edinburgh traffic by 20 per cent.”

The airline will increase its number of flights to business hubs, London and Dublin.

There will now be five London flights a day from the Capital and four a day to Dublin.

The company said its 106m customers could also look forward to further improvements, with more new routes, a new app, new cabin interiors, new crew uniforms and menus.
