EDINBURGH'S ten-year-old Metropolitan Community Church has appointed a new pastor.
Rev Kerri Mesner will be installed on Saturday at 2pm in Augustine United Church, George IV Bridge.
The congregation was originally founded in 1995 by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and since then has been heavily involved in various equality campaigns.
It has been involved in campaigns such as that for the Repeal of Clause 28, equal age of consent and civil partnerships and has given evidence to the Scottish Parliament.
Rev Mesner, originally from Canada, has previously ministered in Metropolitan Community Church congregations in New York and London.
