A SALVATION Army shop in Bruntsfield has attracted legions of bargain hunters since it opened its doors last week.

The Bruntsfield Place outlet, selling clothes, bric-a-brac and household goods, is offering loyalty cards which reward customers every time they spend £5 in the shop or donate items.

Manager David McKenzie: “We’ve been very busy getting the shop ready for a while now and the response has been fantastic.

“People have been regularly popping by, keen to see what’s going on and how they can help. We’ve also had some very generous donations, so we’re absolutely thrilled. We hope that now we’re open the local residents will enjoy shopping here, as we’ve got some fabulous bargains on sale at very reasonable prices.”
