Entertainment greats go for Foysul’s Ruby Murray

IT’S the tipple of choice for hardcore curry fans – so the good people at Cobra should know their onions.

The beer company’s annual Good Curry Guide has named Verandah, in Dalry Road, as the best Indian restaurant in Scotland.

Owner Foysul Choudhury said: “We’re proud that our passion for Indian food has led us to being recognised.”

DESPITE having the world at his feet, lifelong Hibs fan Andy Murray hasn’t forgotten his roots – as he proved during a Q&A session with players of the Fifa computer game.

In repeated references to his club, he declared his favourite all-time Hibee was Franck Sauzee and the best match he’d been to was the Easter Road European classic with AEK Athens in 2001.

But just in case Murray ever invests his millions in the club, fans may be hoping the tennis star’s revelation that he’d sign Georgios Samaras from Celtic was just a rare insight into his humour.

One offering from Solihull Police was retweeted 17,000 times – nearly twice the total following of Lothian and Borders Police.

The tweet asked: “Anyone lost a huge amount of cannabis in the Chelmsley Wood area? Don’t panic, we found it. Please come to the police station to collect it.”
