THE city-based Scottish Chamber Orchestra has appointed two long-standing musical collaborators as associate artists.

They are conductor and keyboardist Richard Egarr and violinist/director Alexander Janiczek.

Chief executive of the SCO, Roy McEwan, said: “This is a new concept for the SCO which we’re very excited about.

“Both Richard and Alexander have developed rich and wide-ranging relationships with the orchestra over a number of years, and these new appointments create opportunities for the partnerships to develop further.”
