TWO men were arrested after they threw stones through a window at the home of rapist Robert Greens.
Michael Preston and Stephen Wylie, both 21 and from Gorebridge, were detained by police on July 21, Edinburgh Sheriff Court heard yesterday, as they admitted reckless and culpable conduct.
The pair were part of a crowd that had been protesting peacefully outside Greens’ home in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian. But after the demonstration ended, the duo launched masonry through an external fitting.
Greens – who was jailed in 2005 for raping a 19-year-old Dutch student at Rosslyn Chapel – pressed a panic button prompting police to rush to his house. Sheriff Paul Arthurson QC deferred sentence for reports.
