A STREET party and parade is to be held in Broxburn to celebrate the visit of the Olympic flame.
The event, which will include stalls, a funfair and face painting, will take place on Wednesday, June 13 at East Main Street.
For the best view, it is recommended those attending take their places along the north side of East Main Street by 5pm.
The torch will be carried by 64-year-old Brian Wilkie, from Mayfield.
Depute executive councillor for culture and leisure, Cathy Muldoon, said: “The feedback we are receiving from the local community is that everyone is looking forward to being involved in the street party and welcoming the Olympic torch relay to the town.
Lothian and Borders Police are appealing to the public to arrive at the event early.
