soldiers are to take part in homecoming parades in the Lothians next week after returning from Afghanistan.
Troops from 1 Scots will march down the Royal Mile next Saturday before being granted the Freedom of the City.
They will also take part in a parade in Haddington.
Around 450 soldiers were deployed to Helmand in September, where they worked to train Afghan security forces.
Commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Ben Wrench said: “We are all looking forward to returning to Edinburgh.”
