POLICE are appealing for help to trace a man and his dog who have gone missing in Edinburgh.

Josh McNeill was reported missing after he was t Hunters Square at around 7pm on Saturday.

Police today said they had a confirmed sighting of Mr McNeill in the Stenhouse Drive area of Edinburgh at 1.20pm this afternoon, but were still trying to contact him.

Josh is described as 6ft tall, slim build, and is clean shaven with dark hair. He was wearing a dark green/brown jacket, light brown jeans and brown trainers, and was with his Rhodesian ridgeback/boxer mix dog.

A police spokesman said: “Josh was last seen at Hunters Square with his dog and we are keen to trace him as soon as possible.

“Members of the public are asked to contact police immediately if they can assist officers with their investigation to trace him.

“Anyone with any information can contact Police Scotland on 101, or the charity Crimestoppers in confidence and complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.”
