POLICE today appealed for help tracing a missing man who was last seen in the Capital more than two weeks ago.
Concerns are growing for the safety of Pascal Pierre Malhaire, originally from France, who has lived in north Edinburgh for the past two years.
The 49-year-old has not been seen since July 22, when he was staying at a hostel on Ferry Road.
He is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, medium build, balding dark blond hair, and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a baseball cap and a large hiking rucksack.
Sergeant Steven Marr said: “Pascal does not have a high level of English but, by those who know him, is said to be a polite and friendly person.
“Pascal has previously slept rough in wooded areas of Edinburgh with his tent. If anyone has seen a man matching Pascal’s description, or have any information to his whereabouts, we ask that they contact Police Scotland on 101.”
