Police in Edinburgh say they have identified a man found badly injured in King’s Stables Road in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The 20-year-old, who is from Edinburgh, has been identified by his family and remains in a serious condition in hospital. Inquiries are ongoing to establish what happened to him.
The man was found with serious injuries on the road, near the entrance to Princes Street Gardens, opposite the multi-storey NCP car park in Castle Terrace.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
