A FORMER security guard caught with more than £100,000 of cocaine in his flat is being pursued for assets under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

William Reape, 49, of Dumbiedykes claimed he was only storing the drug for someone else, and was being “paid in cocaine” to satisfy his own addiction before being sentenced to nearly five years at the High Court in Edinburgh in May. Reape appeared again at the court yesterday as prosecutors sought extra time to scrutinise his assets.

A date for the next hearing was set for August 12. It is not known how much Reape is being pursued for.

Reape haas previously been jailed twice for drug trafficking
