FORMER US president Bill Clinton is set to arrive in the Capital tomorrow to deliver the keynote speech at the Scottish Business Awards.
The event at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre will be attended by 1700 business leaders from across the country – representing a combined turnover of more than £100 billion – making it the biggest business event in Scottish history.
Mr Clinton will be giving an hour-long speech and will answer questions from the audience.
Event organiser Josh Littlejohn, who owns the Social Bite sandwich shop on Rose Street, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the turnout at this year’s event. Clinton has drawn business leaders from far and wide and we are looking forward to bringing the Scottish business community together for the evening, raising a considerable sum for charity, and hearing Clinton deliver his keynote remarks.
“I am also personally looking forward to asking some really interesting questions, including finding out Clinton’s views on Scottish independence.”
The awards are expected to raise more than £250,000 for charity.
