FIRMS in South Queensferry will decide in June whether they want to sign up for a business improvement district to boost trading and bring more investment to the town.
A large number of firms have registered their interest in joining forces as the Queensferry Business Improvement District.
In Edinburgh city centre the BID, run by Essential Edinburgh, raises funds from each member to spend on projects and events to attract shoppers.
Edinburgh City Council has backed the scheme, which traders can vote for from May 10 before the decision is made on June 22.
Malcolm Brown, of the Scotmid Cooperative, said: “We want to give back to our community and improve local businesses, and we know the BID is the best way to do that.”
