IT’S a bear necessity for any self-respecting panda lover.

Pom Pom is a new mobile phone app featuring a cartoon bear which talks back to users in their own accents and languages.

The tammy hat-wearing panda can also dance a jig, munch bamboo, laugh, snooze and can even plant a kiss.

Downloadable from iTunes for 69p, a percentage of each purchase goes towards the conservation work of Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.

Jon-Paul Orsi, digital manager for the RZSS, said:“RZSS are delighted to launch this brand new Talking Scottish Panda app developed in conjunction with Edinburgh based company 442 Design.”
