POLICE are treating a fire which broke out in a disused pub as suspicious.
The fire started at around 2am on Saturday in the Elphinstone Arms in Elphinstone, East Lothian.
No one was injured during the blaze, as the pub has been closed since the end of May.
But police say the building has been left with “significant structural damage”.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “While no one was hurt during this incident, there was potential for the fire to spread, putting other buildings and members of the public at risk.
“Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in or around Main Street in the early hours of Saturday morning is asked to contact police immediately.”
Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101.
