THE Queen was forced to wave away one unwanted guest as she hosted her annual garden party at Holyrood Palace.

The monarch and the Duke of Edinburgh were introduced to various guests as the Royal Regiment of Scotland pipe band played.

Meanwhile, guests in kilts, three-piece suits and colourful hats and fascinators enjoyed finger sandwiches, fruit cake, victoria sponge, as well as tea, iced coffee and elderflower water.
